Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to serve as the Program Chair of the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program. Reporting directly to the Dean of Health and Human Services, this full-time faculty position plays a critical leadership role in maintaining the quality, relevance, and integrity of the OTA curriculum. The Program Chair is a content specialist responsible for ensuring the program remains comprehensive, current, and aligned with industry standards and accreditation requirements.
The Program Chair will also be responsible for the selection of faculty, planning, evaluating, budgeting, and commitment to strategies for professional development.

• Master’s degree awarded by an institution that is accredited by a USDE-recognized institutional accrediting agency.
• Initially Certified Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant who is currently licensed to practice in North Carolina.
• 5 years of documented experience in the field of occupational therapy. Experience must be:
  • Clinical practice experience as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant.
  • Administrative experience including, but not limited to, program planning and implementation, personnel management, evaluation, and budgeting.
  • Scholarship (e.g., scholarship of application, scholarship of teaching and learning).
  • Understanding of and experience with occupational therapy assistants.

   

• 3 years of experience as a faculty member with teaching responsibilities at the postsecondary level.
